The fight against Gotti III is a rematch of a June 2023 exhibition bout in Florida, which the referee Kenny Bayless stopped in the sixth round because both fighters engaged in a verbal war throughout the battle that could not be controlled. Mayweather messed around with the inexperienced Gotti, who landed nice shots on the former.
